Port Macquarie Hastings Municipal Band Heads to State Championships!
The Port Macquarie Hastings Municipal Band is thrilled to announce they'll be competing in the 2025 NSW State Band Championships (C Grade)! This prestigious event is set for Saturday, August 23rd, at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre in Penrith, NSW.
Performing in competitions is a fantastic way to experience the competitive side of music-making. It challenges us to work towards perfection and test our mettle against other bands from around the state.
Our dedicated musicians are incredibly excited to participate and have been working diligently on their contest pieces. The band will be performing three challenging works, showcasing their talent and hard work:
Sacred Item: Southern Hymn by Samuel R. Hazo
Test Selection: Pilatus: Mountain of Dragons by Steven Reineke
Own Choice: The Saint and the City by Jacob de Haan

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Port Macquarie Hastings Municipal Band Inc. will be held on Tuesday December 3rd 2024 at the Mac Adams Centre commencing at 8.00pm.
Attached is the nomination form for current financial members of the PMHMBand Inc.
The nomination form must be returned to the Secretary of the PMHMBand Inc. before 8.00pm Tuesday 19th November 2022.
They can be returned via email to the above Secretary address or handed personally to the Secretary.

This collaboration aims to bring the community together through the power of music, supporting the upcoming concert, Level Up! - A Journey through Video Games Music, at the Glasshouse.
A Symphony of Support
The Port Macquarie Hastings Municipal Band Inc., the proud Australian National D Grade Champions of 2023, is joining forces with the Port Macquarie RSL sub Branch, an organization deeply rooted in supporting veterans and the local community. This partnership is especially fitting, as the Band owes its existence to the Port Macquarie RSL Club’s long-standing tradition of valuing live music and bands for its ANZAC Day commemorations. Together, they are set to enhance the cultural landscape of Port Macquarie, providing a unique musical experience that celebrates the rich history of video game music.

Level Up! - A Journey through Video Games Music promises to be an unforgettable event, featuring iconic music from beloved video games.
